The United Methodist Volunteers in Mission is the short-term mission-sending agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. They promote, encourage and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love in Action” through short-term mission service at home and abroad.
Their challenge: They needed a website that would enable them to relay information quickly and efficiently to volunteers and constituents. Since they help with disaster recovery, it was crucial to have a site with a platform that allowed them to make important updates on their own, without a web developer.
Their solution: They came to Firespring in 2013 looking for a website that would allow them to manage text and images, event registration, member management, online giving and more, all without a programmer, whenever they needed.
Their result: Their new site saved them time, especially with the online form functionality. Instead of having to sit on the phone or dig through emails, their communications director could get necessary information and requests from the people they served via online forms. For a busy nonprofit with a small staff, this was an exciting and revolutionary tool.
"You don’t have to be a web developer or website designer to figure it out. You can have a really great-looking, professional website that is very easy to create and maintain."
—Malinda Nichols, Communications Director
